How do we get to the Villa?
Fly to Alicante with Easyjet or Ryanair then rent a car. TravelSupermarket has a good Alicante car hire price comparison page. It is about 70mins from Alicante airport to the Villa – mostly motorway. The roads are excellent and easy to drive on – there are no tolls on the motorway
You can also fly to Valencia – that’s a slightly longer drive (still under 1/12hour)
Could we manage without a hire car?
We strongly recommend having a car. It would be possible to get a taxi or transfer bus from the airport , walk into Benitachell for your daily needs and then use taxis to get to and from the towns, restaurants and beaches but so much easier with your own transport.
What do we need to bring?
We supply bedding and villa towels plus tea towels ( Pool/beach towels are not included).We leave washing up liquid and a few dishwasher tabs and loo rolls to initially get you started. Bring your sunglasses, sun lotion, swim suits and wallets! The local supermarkets are really excellent and many stock British food products for the large local expat community.
Is there a cot?
Yes we have a travel cot that can be set up in any of the bedrooms – we’ll ask you about this when you book. You’ll need to bring bedding for it, though – that isn’t supplied.
Can we watch British TV?
Yes – we’ve got live Freesat so that’s BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, CH4, CH5 plus lots of others. You can’t watch BBC iPlayer or ITVx etc in Spain unless you watch on or tether to a UK mobile phone or get all clever with VPNs etc.
What about Wi-Fi?
There’s a fast internet connection and excellent Wi-Fi (but see the note above about British TV)
