Taxis in the area are licensed to take 4 people and have to be be booked from the town you are in . So for example if you are at the villa you will need to book a Benitachell taxi . If we plan to use a taxi we tend to book in advance if the journey is time critical for a restaurant booking for example. Jose of Taxi Benitachell is brilliant and really reliable.

Sometimes we will drive down to the large free carpark in Moraira and just get a taxi back at the end of the evening if all parties want to have a drink. The following morning we will walk in to Moraira to pick up the car (which takes about an hour) but justifies in our heads having a lovely breakfast in the town. If you are leaving your car in the carpark overnight just be aware that part of the carpark is home to the Friday market and if you park down by the funfair on Thursday night I assume it would be moved. There is plenty of space in the carpark to avoid this .
